The Joker's body was not originally portrayed as the lanky, awkward looking shape it has become in recent comic books. While that kind of strange movement is something which you can imagine Jared Leto being able to have a lot of fun with in his performance, it's interesting to look back at the classic version of The Joker when he made his debut. What if the Suicide Squad's take on the character sees him portrayed in a fairly "normal" way? He will obviously still have the pale complexion, hair, and smile, but those could all be toned down in order to make it believable that The Joker is a normal - albeit totally insane and evil - man. That is in some ways more frightening than an over the top take from Leto, but there's a risk that this version of the villain (whose appearance was based on the basic look of a joker playing card) could end up coming across as more than a little bland.
