Rumour has it that Suicide Squad will end with The Joker escaping Belle Reve prison and going on some sort of massacre on the way out, likely setting up a larger role in a solo movie for Ben Affleck's Batman in the process (who is also rumoured to make an appearance). If the villain does indeed escape from captivity in this way, it would certainly make for an interesting last shot if his face was left nailed to the wall of his cell. In the comic books, The Joker later returns and uses a belt and fishing hooks to strap his face back on, and this is obviously a very shocking and visceral piece of imagery which could work amazingly in live-action. There's a chance that it's too dark and disturbing for the PG-13 DC Cinematic Universe of course, but there's no denying that this is a look which would separate Jared Leto's Joker from everyone and everything which has preceded him.
