9. Doctor Strange 2 Features The Illuminati

In the comics, the Illuminati was a secret society of superheroes who worked covertly to battle the universe's most dangerous threats, counting the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther and Doctor Strange among its roster.

Considering that the organisation was formed in the comics following the Kree-Skull war, an event that is almost certainly going to be depicted in next year's Captain Marvel movie, it would make sense for the MCU to follow similar suit.

While this is a significant enough event to probably merit its own movie, there have been pervasive hints from both Benedict Cumberbatch and Scott Derickson for a long while that this may factor into the plot of Doctor Strange 2.

Of course, it remains to be seen who will be left standing following the events of Avengers 4, but the idea of Doctor Strange 2 featuring a superhero summit to debate an impending inter-galactic threat sounds pretty awesome. Plus, it'd be an easy way to give the sequel a major box office boost.
