8. Nova Gets A Solo Movie

Fan favourite superhero Nova very nearly appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy, but the idea was nixed during later drats of the script, perhaps given the already crowded nature of the movie.

Nevertheless, there have been persistent rumours about Nova getting his own solo movie, with Kevin Feige recently deeming him to have "immediate potential" in the MCU.

It's rather likely Nova will show up in 2020's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and from there he could get a standalone outing on the latter end of Phase 4. Alternatively, Feige and co. could just bet big and give him his own solo film right out of the gate.

Considering Infinity War sees Thanos (Josh Brolin) annihilate Xandar and the Nova Corps off-screen, a Nova movie could potentially show the Mad Titan's rampage in full, at once filling a peculiar gap from Infinity War and rolling it into Nova's origin story.

If they get this right, he could be a breakout hero in Phase 4. Above all else, if Feige doesn't spring for a Nova solo movie over the next 3-4 years, he's leaving money on the table.
