10 Potential Directors For The Jurassic World Sequel
7. Matthew Vaughn
Matthew Vaughn's film Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the best action movies to hit theaters in a while, and the director's sense of thrilling action combined with memorable, funny character moments is something that Jurassic Park 5 really needs. With Kingsman, Vaughn delivered some insanely well directed and thoroughly satisfying action sequences, like the already famous church fight or a particularly great skydiving sequence. The same can be said of his previous Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class, both movies which showed that Vaughn is a truly capable action director. His scenes are always easy to follow and satisfying as hell, while still being grounded in great characters. But not only that, all of these movies are just downright fun, and that's something Jurassic Park needs in order to succeed. Even though dinosaurs are on the loose and people are dying, the Park films are still summer blockbusters, and they should never be taken too seriously. The original Jurassic Park is full of great moments of comedy and little character quirks that stand out and make it a fun experience. Likewise, Kingsman has a few serious moments when appropriate, but it's always concerned with having a good time first and foremost. Vaughn would bring some kick-ass action to Jurassic Park, but also all the funny little quirks that made the first movie so memorable.
