3. Self/Less

What's it about? Tarsem Singh returns behind the camera for the science fiction thriller Self/Less, starring Ben Kingsley as a wealthy aristocrat who transfers his body into a young man (played by Ryan Reynolds). Having been reassured that the body was an empty vessel, before long he discovers that it in fact belonged to a man with a family and history, while the return of his own consciousness threatens to cause him to lose control of his new body completely. Why it could be awesome: Tarsem Singh has long been a director of great promise who has never quite managed to find the perfect project - this remake of Seconds could be the one which truly shines. Ben Kingsley is guaranteed to bring a level of class to the proceedings and Ryan Reynolds has turned out some solid performances of late (notably The Voices), but at the very least, judging by Singh's previous movies, Self/Less should be a stunning-looking work of cinema.
