10 Potentially Awesome Movies Released in July 2015

2. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

What's it about? The fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise sees Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner reprising their roles, this time with Christopher McQuarrie taking over the directing helm from Brad Bird. Ghost Protocol ended with a message referencing the Syndicate, a mysterious group of assassins who have made it their mission to take out the IMF (that's the Impossible Missions Force, not the International Monetary Fund). Ethan Hawke and his team set out to bring the organization down. Why it could be awesome: Aside from Mission: Impossible 2 there hasn't been a duff entry in the franchise, and McQuarrie knows how to stage great action (just watch the underrated The Way Of The Gun to check out some exceptionally staged action sequences). If you're after a big budget, IMAXed-up spectacle movie with plenty of globe-trotting action then Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation should be right up your street. It'll be interesting to see what outrageous stunts Tom Cruise has set himself the challenge of performing this time around.
