10 Potentially Awesome Movies Released In May 2015

10. Hyena

British director Gerard Johnson established himself as a filmmaker to keep an eye on with his disturbing debut, the black comedy Tony, which starred Peter Ferdinando as a flat-dwelling loner with a penchant for murdering visitors to his home and keeping their bodies in a cupboard. Ferdinando returns to the starring role for Johnson's second movie, this time playing a completely different character, the crooked policeman Michael, who finds himself getting in over his head when Albanian gangs start to muscle in on the territory he exploits. Described as a cross between Abel Ferrara and Nicolas Winding Refn, Hyena promises to be a gritty and ultraviolent thriller laying bare humanity at its seediest and most depraved. British gangster films have been disappointing of late - Hyena looks set to rectify that in style.
