10 Predictions For 2019 Movies That Everybody Got Wrong
1. The Death Of Captain America - Avengers: Endgame
Theories surrounding Steve Rogers' demise in the MCU are nothing new. Even as far back as Civil War in 2016, fans have predicted that Cap would meet his maker. Shortly after the comic of the same name of his third movie, Cap was murdered by Crossbones, but this did not translate to the big screen.
Then Infinity War came along, and these same predictions resurfaced. With Chris Evans' contract with Marvel Studios coming to its end, and the actor making no secret of his wish to move behind the camera, there were those certain Steve wouldn't see the end of the third Avengers movie. Again, they were proved wrong.
With Endgame, surely the time had come for the death of Captain America. For all the same reasons as before, amplified after another year, but once again, to no avail. While Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers recognised the time to end Captain America's story in the MCU as we know it, they found a way to achieve it without resorting to his death.
This gave us the best of both worlds as the mantle was still able to be passed on to Sam, and the door was left slightly open for an old Steve Rogers to appear again further down the line.
