10 Predictions For 2019's Most Iconic Movie Deaths

1. Christian (Jack Reynor) - Midsommar

Ari Aster's follow-up to his acclaimed indie horror Hereditary looks awesome, following a couple (Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor) who visit a rural Swedish community and quickly find themselves ensnared in a violent cult.

The chilling first trailer touts unmistakable vibes of The Wicker Man, and off the back of Aster's stunning directorial debut, it's reasonable to expect a whole lot of demented insanity. And death. Lots of death.

The trailer makes it clear that Pugh's Dani is the protagonist, and it's not a huge leap to guess that her partner Christian (Reynor) probably ends up murdered by the cult at some point in the film.

We briefly see him ingesting a possibly narcotic substance in the trailer, which could very well seal his fate later in the movie.

Given the totally harrowing death scenes Aster came up with in Hereditary - most of the severed head variety - it's reasonable to expect Christian to meet an extremely unpleasant end before the credits roll.
