10 Predictions For 2019's Most Iconic Movie Deaths
3. Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino) - The Irishman
Martin Scorsese's long-awaited crime thriller will revolve primarily around real-life mobster Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran (Robert De Niro), who claimed to have killed infamous Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino).
Hoffa's 1975 disappearance and the authorities' inability to produce his corpse has fascinated true crime enthusiasts ever since, so to see Hoffa's apparent murder depicted on screen, in a Scorsese film no less, should make for an instantly iconic sequence.
According to Sheeran, he drove Hoffa to a house in Detroit and shot him twice behind the ear, and though Sheeran's claim has never been substantiated by the police, it appears that Scorsese's film will be adapting Sheeran's version of events on their own merits.
Either way, seeing De Niro murder Pacino on-screen with Scorsese directing should be totally unforgettable.
