10 Predictions For Marvel Cinematic Universe's Future

There have been some easter eggs hinting that Adam Warlock, a powerful cosmic character from the comics, will be making an appearance in the MCU. His gestation cocoon was spotted among the Collector’s belongings in GotG. Originally, he possessed the Soul Gem, which has yet to make an appearance as an Infinity Stone in the movies.

It’s probable that if and when he shows up on screen, he’ll have the Soul Stone - maybe even on his forehead like the source material. (The Soul Gem is green in the comics, but since the Time Stone is green in the movies, the Soul Stone will have to be another color that hopefully won’t clash with Adam’s yellow skin.)

Also in the comics, after Thanos’ attempt to use the Infinity Gauntlet is thwarted (spoiler alert: the bad guy will lose in the movie), Adam Warlock takes it for safekeeping. He uses it to purge the good and evil parts of his personality so he could use the Gauntlet with logic only. This has the unintended consequence of creating the Magus, an embodiment of his evil side, who causes a lot of problems for the universe.

While the movies might not go that route entirely, if Warlock shows up it would make a lot of sense to have him keep the weapon. He’s objective and removed from the situation enough to be trusted with it. He plays such a crucial role in the original story that it would be strange for the movies to leave him out.
