10 Predictions For Sony's 2021 Mystery Spider-Man Spin-Off Movie
7. Sinister Six
It's no secret that Sony has been attempting to pull the trigger on a Sinister Six film for a very long time. Their Andrew Garfield-led Amazing Spider-Man series was essentially one big backdoor pilot for a Sinister Six spin-off but, upon the underperformance of the second and their subsequent chance to introduce Tom Holland's Spidey into the MCU, they put those plans on hold.
However, it seems like things have begun to fall into place for them all over again. Both MCU Spider-Man movies have introduced villains known for being part of the deadly faction (Vulture, Scorpion and even Mysterio), while Morbius - the star of Sony's upcoming Marvel movie - has also been associated with it at one point. And the appearance of Michael Keaton's Vulture in the trailer for Morbius understandably sent the fans into meltdown as it officially blurred the lines between both shared universes and seemed to suggest that Sinister Six was on the horizon.
With all that in mind, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to expect the villains to unite in October 2021 now, would it?
