10 Predictions For Sony's Universe Of Marvel Characters

It's clearly still early days for Sony's own version of the MCU, but from what little has been revealed about the studio's future plans, it's clear they're banking on female characters being the recipe to success. Black Cat, Silver Sable, Madame Web, and Jackpot are all being eyed for different projects, and it's hard not to wonder whether an eventual team-up of some sort is in the works.

Madame Web is a very strange choice of film, but if she's paired with one of the many women who have called themselves Spider-Woman over the years, then the groundwork could be laid for her to bring these female heroes together to try and save the "Spider-Verse."

There are female versions of many classic Spider-Man foes, including Doctor Octopus and Electro. It's hard not to get excited over the prospect of a team of female spider heroes battling a group made up of villains like that, and something which does seem highly likely. It could be a slow burn, but the pay off for comic book fans would be potentially amazing.
