5. A New Iteration Of The Sinister Six
In an ideal world, Marvel Studios would eventually release a movie pitting Spider-Man against the Sinister Six, but with so much uncertainty surrounding the Disney/Sony deal, it's impossible for Kevin Feige and company to build to something like that. With that in mind, it seems likely Sony Pictures will be the ones to eventually release a Sinister Six project.
Before agreeing to let Marvel use Spider-Man in the MCU, there were plans in place for a Drew Goddard-directed Sinister Six movie spinning out of the events of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It sounded...okay...and the plan was to have the web-spinner be forced to work alongside these villains.
It's an intriguing sounding premise, and one which could still work today. However, looking at how things are coming together in the SPUMC, expect this version to be made up of characters like Venom, Carnage, Morbius, The Vulture, Mysterio, and Kraven the Hunter rather than names like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not comic book accurate either.
