9. It Still Won't Be Anything Like The MCU

Look, we'd love to tell you that ten years from now, Warner Bros. will have got their act together and created a shared world as far-reaching and successful as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The chances of that seem slim, though, especially as there's still no one calling the shots like Kevin Feige does.

There's no reason the DC Extended Universe couldn't be like that, of course, but we're currently seeing the studio move away from the sort of connective tissue which ties their films together, so it's unlikely to change over the next ten years. At this point, it feels like Warner Bros. has thrown in the towel imitating the competition, but they should be moving away from a DCEU that feels like the MCU-lite.

At one time, it looked like comic book writer Geoff Johns would be in charge of this shared world, but that didn't happen, and it's now a studio exec - Walter Hamada - who calls the shots. He's made smart business decisions, but isn't the right person to create an entire slate of movies that tie together.
