10 Predictions For What The DCEU Will Look Like 10 Years From Now

8. A New Man Of Steel

Michael B Jordan Superman
DC Comics

Henry Cavill may have expressed interest in returning as Superman, but given what we've heard about his behind the scenes clashes with Warner Bros. (which is why a stand-in was used in Shazam!), it seems unlikely he'll suit up as the Man of Steel again. Of course, it doesn't help that he's the poster boy for the Zack Snyder era of DC movies, something the studio is trying desperately to leave behind them.

As a result, a new Superman taking centre stage is obvious, and the Hollywood trades have confirmed that Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan has met with Warner Bros. to discuss playing a completely new take on the hero which would explore what it would mean to be an African American superhero.

There has even been talks about Supergirl stepping up to fill the void left by Superman's absence, so while we fully expect there to be a version of the world's most iconic superhero on the big screen, it's unlikely to be the one we've grown used to seeing over the past few years. Sorry, Henry!
