Disney and Sony Pictures recently came to an agreement which will keep Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for at least one more solo outing and a guest appearance in an upcoming Marvel Studios movie. Beyond that, we don't know what the future holds in store for the web-slinger, but crossovers with characters like Venom and Morbius in Sony's "SUMC" are inevitable.

Assuming for a second that Spidey does stick around in the MCU, then we're obviously going to follow Tom Holland's Peter Parker out of high school, into college, and then adulthood. That's exciting for a lot of reasons, and a decade from now, the Spider-Man we see on screen will probably be portrayed as being in his mid-20s to early 30s.

That will completely change who he is as a character, and opens the door to a lot of very exciting storytelling possibilities. If we had to hazard a guess what we'll see a decade from now, it will be this experienced version of Spider-Man leading the aforementioned new generation of heroes into battle, bringing the MCU full circle and finally becoming the new Tony Stark.
