10 (Probably Failed) Attempts At A Measured Response To The Wolverine

2. Days Of Future Movies That Aren't Out Already, Dammit!

x-men posters I'm really on the fence with the mid-credits scene. I usually enjoy these scenes, but they work better as a neat little bonus for moviegoers whose bladders haven't reached critical mass - like the Shawarma scene in Avengers or Ron Perlman looking for his god**n shoe in Pacific Rim. I'm less of a fan when they're just a movie trailer for the next film in a franchise. It deflates the movie you just watched - especially when it's a good but not great movie like The Wolverine. The actual scene is pretty good - and I'm excited to see Bryan Singer back at the helm of the X-Men franchise. Seeing Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart sharing the screen with Hugh Jackman again has a definite "getting the band back to together" vibe. Exciting stuff. It's a shame I walked out of the theater thinking, "Boy, I wish I just watched that movie."

Jeremy Wickett was raised from an early age in one of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma's classier opium dens. A graduate of The University of Oklahoma, he now resides in Phoenix, Arizona - where the desert heat is oppressive enough to make him hallucinate that he's a character in Star Wars. And of course he can speak Bocce - it's like a second language to him. His so-called musings can be found here: http://geekemporium.blogspot.com/
