10 Problems Fans STILL Won't Admit About The DCEU

6. They Jumped The Shark On Way Too Much

Superman Death
Warner Bros.

Perhaps because Warner Bros always had one eye on Marvel's map for success, the DCEU raced out of the gates way too quickly and stumbled before they were ever really able to walk.

Man Of Steel was actually a good origin story, but because it wasn't viewed quite as the homerun it could have been, Warner Bros pulled the trigger on Batman v Superman and then hurtled into Justice League as well without bothering to take care to build the right way. That might not have been so much of an issue if they hadn't also killed off Superman and brought in a huge villain like Doomsday so quickly.

Even the approach to Batman was a massive issue that they've now had to work against themselves to undo. By establishing that Batman was already retired, they robbed themselves of the opportunity to tell most of his most interesting stories. Now, we're faced with the need to reboot him, even as some of the strands of the Justice League continue onwards.
