10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About The Original Star Wars Trilogy
8. Boba Fett Is A Tad Overrated
Blasphemy? Perhaps. But don't pretend you haven't at least thought it on a couple of occasions - after all, this is a character who is defined by his ability to stand around not doing much.
Prequels aside, though, there isn't much to Boba Fett, is there? Not to mention the fact that Return of the Jedi grants him one of the lamest deaths imaginable, complete with - that's right - a freakin' Wilhelm scream.
It's true that Fett is all about the mystery factor, but is our complete and undying obsession with this guy really warranted? Don't mistake this criticism as a complete attack on Boba Fett's character: there is something innately appealing about the guy, most of which stems from the fact that we don't really know what his motives are, what he really thinks, or how he has attained such a legendary status within the confines of the Star Wars universe.
But when you approach this character from a neutral viewpoint, and factor in - let's face it - his naff death, Boba Fett isn't anywhere near as brilliant as he's made out to be. Iconic? Yes. Cool? Sort of.
