10 Problems With Batman V Superman Nobody Wants To Admit

8. The World Doesn't Make Sense

Warner Bros have been roundly criticised for jumping the gun a little in bringing their DC Cinematic Universe to completion. Clearly they're under pressure to replicate the success of the Marvel movies, especially with the Avengers being amongst the biggest box office success of all time €“ but that was after they'd laid the groundwork with the solo Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk films. Meanwhile Warner are just one film into their new Shared Cinematic Universe €“ 2013's Man Of Steel €“ and are already leaping straight into introducing half the Justice League, who will get their own movie in a couple of years. In fact it's being heavily implied that all those characters already exist in-universe. In Batman V Superman the Dark Knight is said to have been operating for a few years already, and it's suggested Aquaman might be the one who rescued underwater post-oil-rig-fire Superman in Man Of Steel. But everyone seems surprised at the appearance of a superhero, as if he's the first €“ but Dawn Of Justice suggests he's anything but? What's up with that?
