10 Problems With Batman V Superman Nobody Wants To Admit
6. Wait, Why Are They Fighting?
Then there's the question as to why the V is in the title in the first place. For one thing, it should almost certainly be vs or versus since a V is usually used in legal proceedings, for court cases taken against two parties. Whilst framing Dawn Of Justice as a courtroom drama where Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne sling legal terms at each other would be refreshing (and suit the title), it's much more likely they're going to be doing battle in a more traditional sense. But, like, why? Does anybody actually want too see Batman and Superman fight? These are two of the biggest pop culture icons in the world, and they seriously can't come up with anything more interesting than having them punch each other? And what is going to be the reason that they end up coming to blows in the first place, because it probably won't be all that compelling. Rumour has it that their scrap involves the aftermath of Man Of Steel, with Superman treated as an alien threat by the wider world after he smashes up most of Metropolis fighting General Zod, and Batman shows up to teach this menace a thing or two. Which seems a little out of his jurisdiction, being the guy in the tights who punches muggers most nights.
