10 Reasons Batman Forever Is Better Than Any Other Batman Movie

7. Kiss From A Rose

With Prince at the helm of the soundtrack for the '89 Burton entry at the height of his popularity, success was assured.

Topping the US and UK charts as well as successfully riding high in the single chart with Batdance, it seems obvious that all the best songs should come from the Burton original.

They don't, Seal beats a whole album hands down with one song, Kiss From a Rose.

Kiss From a Rose represents the pinnacle of Bat-related song prowess, especially if you take the time to really break it down and examine the intricacies. On the surface a simple corny song about love, but look below and it's hard to argue that 'The light that you shine can be seen' is anything other than a reference to how the Bat-signal is a shimmering glimmer of hope for Gotham.

Written in 1987 (2 years before Prince came up with his Party Man nonsense) and shelved due to what he felt was too embarrassing a song, Seal dug out the classic when Director Joel Schumacher personally requested a track for the Kilmer/Kidman flirt scenes in Forever.

Positioned perfectly in the '90s, Embarrassing became hauntingly beautiful and perfectly (Bat) suited to stand the test of time. It's an iconic theme synonymous to superhero cinema.
