10 Reasons Batman v Superman Can't Top Captain America: Civil War
3. It Won't Be A Game Changer
Batman v Superman is certainly significant in the respect that it sets up the DC Cinematic Universe, but as the DCCU doesn't really exist as of right now (Man of Steel was very self contained), what is the movie really changing? It's all about set up, and that weakens the appeal in some ways. If you need proof of that, think back to what a mess Iron Man 2 ended up being when it spent over two hours trying to lay the groundwork for The Avengers? Captain America: Civil War on the other hand could change everything, and more than likely will. Whoever emerges victorious, the end result will see new teams of Avengers formed and a radically different Marvel Cinematic Universe building up to the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. Batman v Superman is going to give fans a lot of reasons to be excited for the future, but Civil War will take something fans love and just make them even more invested in it.
