10 Reasons Batman V Superman's Ending Is The Stupidest Part Of The Film

2. Lex Knows About Darkseid... Somehow?

OK, that's not the complete sum of the prison scene - after Batman leaves, Lex starts snotting and screaming about some impending doom-bringer, completing his transformation from ruthless businessman to Jim Carrey's Riddler. He's most likely talking about Darkseid, overtly pushed as the threat the Justice League will form to defeat, but like that Knightmare vision, this makes not a jot of sense; chiefly, how does Lex Luthor suddenly know about him? He's been acting like a child when playing with all the Kryptonian tech, totally obsessed with felling Superman to the point he'd release an unstoppable beast that would destroy the world if it did actually achieve it's primary objective: those aren't the actions of someone with cosmic awareness. I know there's been a deleted scene already released of Lex's arrest that shows him learning from the Kryptonian ship, but that can't really be used as an argument - there's nothing to suggest that within the flow of the main movie and, even if it did happen, how do old Kryptonian files directly point to the New God setting his sights on Earth?
