10 Reasons Why Batman vs Superman Might Actually Be Delayed

9. The Script Isn't Right

One of the most reasoned and sensible possibilities in line with Warner's own statement about the vision moving forward is that the script just isn't quite good enough yet, either not up to hands-on star Ben Affleck's standards, or perhaps the recent signing of Argo writer Chris Terrio to help work on the script may have resulted in a creative overhaul somewhere along the line. At the end of the day, this one will probably be for the best if true, because as much as the delay is frustrating, it will hopefully result in a more considered, streamlined product. It's unlikely we'll ever publically hear about it if this is the case, but it's one of the stronger rumours doing the rounds, even if the 10-month delay seems pretty gargantuan for a script re-write.
