10 Reasons Why Batman vs Superman Might Actually Be Delayed

10. Warner Bros Were Scared Off By Other Films

2015 has been earmarked for a while as possibly the most exciting year ever for blockbuster movies. The summer period has got massively anticipated movies like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurassic World, Terminator: Genesis, Ant-Man and many more, and to that effect, part of Warner's reasoning might simply be that they were scared by an overcrowded field, and decided to hold things off as a result. Though they wouldn't be directly competing with the Avengers sequel, if it's a huge hit (which it almost certainly will be), it may have taken the wind out of this movie's sails and crippled its momentum, while the hype that will be built around Marvel's Ant-Man would have meant that Batman vs. Superman was sandwiched between two possibly superior products, which isn't particularly healthy. As it stands, though, May 6th, 2016 is also looking a bit dangerous, as Marvel's own unspecified project (widely speculated to be Doctor Strange) is set to launch on the same date, and the likelihood is that either that film or Batman vs. Superman will probably end up being shifted a week or two to cool the competition down a tad.
