8. He€™s Going To Be A Veteran Hero

Speaking of Affleck playing an older Batman, he€™s going to be a bit of a veteran by the point we meet him on screen. In Man of Steel there was a tiny Easter Egg saying €˜keep calm and call Batman.€™ These were probably little hints by Zack Snyder of what DC had planned, but it would also hint that Batman has already fought crime in this universe. One of the good things about this is that, hopefully, we won€™t see another reinterpretation of Batman€™s origins, but it also means that he will have an understanding of what he is doing. The Dark Knight Trilogy has Batman constantly learning what he needs to do to improve his costume (e.g. preventing himself from getting bitten by dogs). Affleck will be playing a Batman who has been there and done that, so he will hopefully be more focused and understand what he is doing. Moreover, he will already have some gadgetry; the SDCC clip showed him in an armoured costume, and the Batmobile looks like it is overflowing with technology. This is going to be a wiser and knowledgeable Batman, and Affleck is perfect for this role.
