Ben Affleck has done pretty well in the directing field as well as the acting field; if that sounds unbelievable go and check out Argo. This may seem a little off topic, but having sat in the director€™s chair could benefit Affleck€™s acting. He is already an actor with a hugely diverse background; Daredevil, Gone Girl, Argo, Pearl Harbour and Armageddon have all proved that. But now we have seen that he has the skill to step back and see the scene from a wider perspective. This can only benefit his performance. This is not going to be as noticeable as his muscles, and it isn€™t going to be as defining as his age. It€™s not going to shape his overall performance, but it will make small improvements that add to his acting. Affleck is a good actor, even without his directorial experience, but there is no way that an understanding of the wider implications of acting could hinder his performance, it can only make him better.
