10 Reasons Loki Is Actually A Pretty Lame Villain

4. His Motives Are Weak, Petulant And Childish

Marvel StudiosMarvel StudiosLoki's villainy is based on extremely childish motives. First, he was disappointed at not being made king of Asgard at the expense of Thor, and second it was because he found out that he was adopted and considered himself, therefore, to not be "the favourite child". Granted, you might be a little bit envious in the first instance and somewhat hurt in the second, but to then go on to seek mortal revenge - particularly to the global extent he went on to do in the Avengers movie - is ridiculous. Loki grew up as a relatively decent guy - as seen at the beginning of the first Thor movie - and he has since shown himself to have something of a decent guy left inside him, so to act as he has done for the reasons he has claimed to do so is absolutely crazy.
