10 Reasons Marvel Shouldn't Mix The MCU And Netflix Characters
9. Stick To Smaller Stories
So far the Netflix series' have been based around smaller, more insular stories like stopping crime kingpins, resisting an abuser and cleaning up Harlem. These stories have a much more personal slant and don't necessarily always involve world-ending stakes.
Once the likes of Daredevil and Luke Cage have been introduced to Thor the God of Thunder and a talking raccoon, how could they go back to busting drug dealers and small-time career criminals? Much like Tony Stark having seen the other side of the Chitauri worm-hole, an existential crisis would be inevitable.
The Netflix universe being street-level, and preferably remaining so, relies on these small-scale, more accessible stories. Jessica Jones may not be so interested in counselling a heroin addict or surveilling an adulterer once she's come face to face with Drax The Destroyer. It could all start to look a bit meaningless compared to the space hopping action of the Guardians.
It would be advisable to keep the big, alien, world-destroying stuff out and keep the Netflix world small-time, focused and arguably more interesting.
