10 Reasons The New Peanuts Film Will Be A Complete Success

1. They're Back In A Big Way! They're back! It's been 35 years since their last feature film and the reviews for many of the last few specials, one not written by Schulz and others written by collecting various strips Schulz had already published, were only moderate. If the Peanuts are to make their big comeback, this is the only way. Many of those new specials don't see a lot of time on TV and much of the general public isn't even aware that they've still been around, albeit quietly. The kind of advertisement that goes into a big budget animated film like this is massive, which means we could be seeing character posters for all the kids on billboards and at bus stops, always reminding the public of who they are and that they're here to stay. For fans, this should be reason to rejoice; if the Peanuts don't get with the times they're going to disappear like many who came before them. Even once popular strips like Li'l Abner have faded in time because keeping them alive and current wasn't part of the game plan. But the Peanuts are proving that, more than anything, they're here to stay. Based entirely on what we know, there's a heart warming, fuzzy feeling that comes along with all the hints we've been given. The success of the film seems inevitable not only because the creators are dedicated to that success but also to filling the hole in the hearts of people that only Charlie Brown and Snoopy can. After so many audiences have felt weighed down by the constant flow of unnecessary reboots and lackluster sequels, there is finally joy to be had in such a sweet, simple cast of characters and their warm puppy. If "happiness is" anything, surely it's a new Peanuts film. What do you think? Do you have faith in the new film or are you dreading the "new" Peanuts? Comments as always are welcome below.
