10 Reasons Prometheus 2 Should Be Scrapped For Alien 5

9. We Want Xenomorphs & Lots Of Them

What's the most iconic aspect of the Alien series, aside from Sigourney Weaver, of course? That's right, it's the Xenomorphs, the beautifully grotesque alien creatures, the "perfect organisms" who have made an art out of dismantling the human body. Prometheus ended with the reveal of the Proto-Xenomorph (nicknamed the "Deacon"), and though this set-up the whole idea of the Xenomorphs evolving and growing in number in the lead-up to Alien, there's absolutely no guarantee that Prometheus 2 will feature the Xenomorphs we know and love, all the more so if it takes part mostly on the Engineer homeworld shortly after Prometheus, where they presumably won't just be running around. The entire fun of any movie in the Alien universe is in watching a group of hapless souls attempt to survive a Xenomorph assault, and though the formula may seem familiar by now, it's the personalities of the characters, the epic settings, the thunderous action and the creatures themselves that make the sequels worth watching in spite of their flaws. Prometheus 2 will most likely splinter off in another direction, and after two terrible Alien vs Predator movies which essentially butchered our conception of both the Predator and Xenomorph, we want a back-to-basics sequel that makes us love the Xenomorph once again.
