10 Reasons Snyder's Batman Will Be Superior To Nolan's

9. He'll Have A Cooler Batmobile

When it debuted in 1939, the Batmobile was nothing more than a red sedan. As Batman grew in popularity the Batmobile transformed into an essential part of his mythology and an invaluable asset in his crusade to fight crime. Christopher Nolan€™s grounded approach to the material necessitated that the Batmobile lose the fantastical gizmos it accrued over the years like the Bat-ray and Bat-scope. Instead, Nolan€™s version, dubbed the Tumbler, focused on practical functionality. While it still had its share of gadgets like auto-cannons and a jet engine, the Tumbler resembled a tank, completely eschewing the eye-catching design of the iconic Tim Burton era Batmobile. Nolan also limited the feats the Tumbler was capable of so the action could remain grounded in reality. Recently, Zack Snyder created an Internet stir when he tweeted an image of the new Batmobile. The new design is a very promising sign of what Snyder has in store for Bat-fans. Snyder's Batmobile marries the grounded approach of Nolan€™s Tumbler with the stylistic flourishes of the Tim Burton era. If this is an indication of things to come, we can expect a Batmobile that delivers reality-defying action while sidestepping the jokey excess of the Schumacher era.
