10 Reasons Solo Is The Worst Star Wars Film To Date

7. No Humor

The last two Star Wars movies - Rogue One and The Last Jedi - were very dark. Rogue One was a gritty and genuinely violent war film while The Last Jedi was a pessimistic and thought-provoking examination of the Star Wars mythos. Solo was sold to us as a lighthearted Space Western and a more humorous affair... and Rogue One and The Last Jedi are both funnier than Solo. Heck, the Prequels are a lot funnier than Solo too (not always intentionally though).

Solo isn't funny in the slightest. Come to think of it, there are hardly any jokes and, save for Lando's amusing robot companion L3-37, it all takes itself too seriously. This was a fatal error, as some light comedy was essential for this movie working and Han Solo is normally a humorous character.

It is impressive in a bad way that Rogue One, which was by far the darkest Star Wars film of them all, was funnier than what was supposed to be a science-fiction comedy.
