8. The Jedi Order Is Questioned/Criticized

You ever look at the setup of the Jedi order and think it's a tad bit outdated, silly, overly concerned with tradition, holier than thou, and just a little fascist? Well, have I got the game for you! Knight Of The Old Republic 2 was so good at raking the Jedi order over the coals that George Lucas himself had to give an order down from on high that any further EU material had to portray the Jedi as being unquestioned heroes from that point on.

And you thought the whole 'the Jedi kinda sucked" thing started with The Last Jedi. Oh you naive summer child, you.

But just because KOTOR 2 was the last game to really commit to questioning the Jedi, doesn't mean that other titles haven't found workarounds. Sure they don't go nearly as far as KOTOR 2 did, but they've definitely benefited from Lucas no longer having final say over this franchise anymore.

Hopefully The Last Jedi has inspired more people to go forward and question the established rules of this universe in the future.
