6. I Can't Hold It In Any Longer.... Robin!
Remember when Bale said he wouldn't be involved in a Nolan bat-film if Robin was involved? Given the way the director handled the introduction of Robin in TDKR, it's not hard to see why Bale changed his mind. So John Blake was an orphan, his real name was Robin. After two and a half hours of teasing, we see the mantle of the bat passed on- TO ROBIN. In all honesty, I wish that John Blake's real name was revealed to be Dick Grayson - but then why did Dick choose the name Robin in the first place? No, instead Nolan keeps it grounded - Blake's real name is Robin and he is taking over as Batman folowing Bruce's 'death'. And I honestly couldn't have wished for a more satisfying ending. It's sure to cause controversy among comic book readers, but as a keen reader myself I take my hat off to Nolan for the direction he took.
