10 Reasons The Fantastic Four Looks Great

10. It Doesn't Look Too "Real"

The screenwriters of the new Fantastic Four got fans all a fluster early on by suggesting what they were writing wasn't actually a superhero film. Instead they made a big deal about grounding the story, making the science more believable and €“ worst of all €“ not even letting them dress up in rad costumes. On the basis of that first trailer, and some of the info released shortly beforehand, that flustering was completely unfounded. In fact, on the basis of that first Fantastic Four trailer, they've struck a pretty perfect balance between €œrealism€ and having a guy made of rocks clobbering things. Director Joshua Trank has managed to transplant his Chronicle sensibility to a big-budget, not-found-footage context, as the world of The Fantastic Four looks equally suited to big, realistic looking contraptions and also Michael B Jordan being a literal man on fire.
