10 Reasons The Marvel Cinematic Universe Is Doomed To Fail

10. The Best Actors Will Move On/Will Be Replaced

Imagine a Marvel Cinematic Universe in five or ten years lacking most of the actors we most associate with it now; it automatically doesn't seem quite so enticing, does it? Fact is, though, actors like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans - who plays Tony Stark and Captain America respectively - have already spoken out on a number of occassions regarding their intentions to leave the MCU when their contracts run out. Downey Jr. is only contracted for one final turn in Avengers: Age of Ultron; Chris Evans has three films left to go, then he's out. Though it might seem cynical to suggest that absolutely everybody will depart the MCU when their time is up, chances are that they'll flee. Playing the same character for 10 years without much of a break would take its toll on anyone, after all. So taking Iron Man, Captain American and - let's say - Thor out of the equation, and already the whole cinematic universe feels a little flat. Of course, there characters are pivotal to the established world - they can't all disappear and that's that. They'd likely be recast, then, and let's face it - nobody really wants that.
