Lets be honest; with their Phase 3 slate of films Marvel has gotten everybody hyped up by the prospect of seeing Civil War on screen. Ant-Man is in the difficult position of appearing between the highly anticipated Age Of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. We already know that Age Of Ultron will plant the seeds of conflict for Civil War, but Ant-Man will offer a different look at the issue. Superhuman activity has caused devastation in the MCU; look at the events of Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Avengers Assemble - clearly civilians would have died in these calamities. The chilling Age of Ultron trailer showcased even more chaos and destruction, so by the time Ant-Man is released it is reasonable to assume that superheroes are hardly the most popular people around. The adventures of the tiny hero could illustrate the human cost of these films, and it would explain why there is such support to legislate heroic activity. Civil War will be one of the defining events of the MCU, so Ant-Man will help Marvel to build up to this awe-inspiring event. What did you think? Are you excited by Ant-Man?
