10 Reasons To Be Excited For Marvel Phase Three

When Marvel laid down plans for their Netflix series beginning with Daredevil, it was met with cautious optimism, and despite the fact it got lost in the shuffle since Avengers: Age of Ultron’s release date was fast approaching, it was a surprising success.

To say Marvel completely knocked it out of the park is an understatement, and after years of being stuck in no man’s land, it’s a rewarding sight to see Daredevil get the justice and recognition he deserves – not that Affleck’s outing wasn't as bad as the bandwagon claims, it’s just this was much better.

Charlie Cox was spectacular as Matt Murdoch, and alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s ruthless Wilson Fisk, has the potential to be a major player in Marvel. Although a television show and not exactly linked to Phase Three, Charlie Cox has stated he is contractually obliged to appear in films if needed, and with the Civil War and Infinity War storylines coming up, we could yet see Daredevil once again on the big screen.

While we wait for that, if Daredevil is any indication of things to come; The Defenders is gearing up to be television’s version of The Avengers. Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist are all vastly underrated characters and it’s great to see that they’ll be getting the screen time they deserve.
