10 Reasons Why Looper is Best Film of 2012

3. Execution

Of course strong themes will only get you so far in cinema; execution is king. After all, watching a movie with great thematic depth but poor execution is about as bad as watching a film that boasts awesome CGI but little between the ears (a.k.a a Michael Bay movie). Fortunately, Looper offers healthy helpings of both, like a stunningly beautiful woman who turns out to be a molecular scientist. When Looper calls for action or suspense, Johnson proves that he knows exactly how it€™s done and when it comes time for introspection, he€™s equally as adept at getting the message across. In short, Looper boasts superb execution on nearly every level and although it isn€™t exactly a perfect movie (is there such a thing?) it€™s probably as close any mainstream movie has come to it this year.
