3. Jaw-Dropping Stunts
Of course, the real reason why action fans go to see movies like Furious 7 or Mad Max: Fury Road isn't for the storyline or character development - it's for the action, and usually they want lots of it and as much of it as the filmmakers can cram into the running time. One of the reasons why the Raid movies are so well loved is precisely because the action keeps coming thick and fast (although Berendal introduced a heroic bloodshed-style plot which eased up the pace) - both Furious 7 and Fury Road deliver the goods in this department, with the latter just a little more relentless in its pursuit of on-screen destruction. But when it comes down to it, Fury Road's long, elaborate and visceral action sequences and incredible stunts come out head and shoulders above the admittedly impressive Furious 7 - given the number of vehicles Miller wrecked during production, not to mention the army of stuntmen at his disposal, this perhaps shouldn't come as a surprise.
