5. You Only Live Thrice

With the latest explosive trailer we€™ve finally been given a significant taste of Skyfall€™s intricate plot, which is now revealed to involve a stolen laptop drive holding the secret identity of every MI6 agent currently embedded in a terrorist organization. It already sounds like a bit of a pickle, but to make matters worse we also see Bond being shot while atop a moving train and presumably falling to his death. Thankfully, it€™s revealed that the cheeky scamp has merely faked his death, thus preventing us from witnessing the most anti-climactic Bond film ever made. As many Bond fans will be able to point out, this isn't the first time that we've seen the famous spy fake his own death. 1968€™s You Only Live Twice opened with a sequence showing James Bond faking his own death to go undercover. Is this simply a knowing reference to the classic Sean Connery outing, or is Bond€™s duped demise going to play an integral part of the plot ?
