10 Reasons Why The Amazing Spider-Man Will Be Best Film of 2012

Could it thus be that this film, which may have a lot of nay sayers, could shock us all with its quality and thus be elevated to one of the top films of 2012?

It€™s an optimistic title to an article about a film that comes out glazed in the shadow of "The Avengers", "Prometheus", "The Dark Knight Rises" and the Cannes film festival. None the less, following the release of the four minute trailer earlier in the week, and several other encouraging clips and trailers, my excitement is peaking for this (whisper it) reboot that undoubtedly looks better than the Sam Raimi directed original. Now, once you€™ve all stopped throwing metaphorical fruit and vegetables at my hung out to dry corpse, I would like to explain to you why this film looks both better than 2002's "Spider-Man" and may just end up being the best film of the year.

1. Andrew Garfield

The hot rising English actor screams all the new things about this movie; good looking, cool, intelligent and with fabulously alternative hair that makes him look like a cast member from Digimon. He is an exciting actor to want to watch for two hours. From the officially released images we've seen he also looks smashing in spandex if you don€™t mind me saying. Going past him looking the part, Garfield also has brilliant acting skills to draw upon to help make Peter Parker a funny, emotional, believable character...Not just one who swings through the air and screams €˜Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo€™ like a certain Tobey Maguire. He was incredibly good in "Boy A", very good in "The Social Network" and now gets his chance to anchor a mainstream film for the first time. I for one can€™t wait to see what he does with this.
