10 Reasons Why The Amazing Spider-Man Will Be Best Film of 2012

2. The Emotive Story

Yes, I€™m aware reverting the Spider-Man origin story to one of daddy issues is a little dull and clichéd and is once more Hollywood€™s attempt of convincing us that to have any emotional depth at all we must spend years resenting our fathers and in intensive psychotherapy. However so far, the untold story aspect of this film looks to give it an edge on its predecessors and the films around it, as the whole childhood abandonment deal seems to effect Peter Parker this time around than it ever seemed to effect him previously. It also lasts for longer than the daddy issues in the Nolan Batman Trilogy in which Bruce Wayne seems to get over the death of his parents very quickly as soon as he decides to make the switch into spandex clad crime fighter. The anchoring of this story in the unresolved issues of the character, who is going to be played by a very talented actor, will help give an emotional edge to a film that could, if it wanted, just be €˜another blockbuster€™.
