10 Reasons Why The Bourne Legacy Sucks

1. No Paul Greengrass

And the prime factor why The Bourne Legacy failed? Paul Greengrass' absence. The British director is renowned for his stunning action direction, as well as his capability of handling more stoic, dialogue-driven scenes, and this certainly seems something he has trumped Gilroy on if this latest effort is anything to go by. The action doesn't feel anywhere near as in-your-face and intense, and the dialogues drag on beyond what is necessary, creating of it a slack experience that feels like a director not quite sure of what he is making, nor sure how to handle the mix of action and drama. With Greengrass balking at the project, he caused Matt Damon to leave, as their partnership indicated a certain stamp of approval unto one another, and with both departing, the project endured a severe credibility crisis that has been quite predictably resolved now that the film has been seen by critics, and will be unleashed upon audiences from August 13th. Do any of these points surprises you? And have you seen the film yet? Let us know if you agree or disagree once you have in the talkback below.
