2. The Threat
Lets face it, Scarecrow, a few mob thugs, a half dead man in a suit, the Joker and Liam Neeson are not the most physically imposing of villains. Although they managed quite enough obstacles for Batman to climb without making the first two films dull, the audience always knew that when it came to a one-on-one confrontation the uber-buff, trained by ninjas Bruce Wayne would be able to overcome then and win the day. In Bane, an uber-buff man in a piece of sadomasochistic headwear, we have a physical equal and potential better of Bruce Wayne as Batman. Therefore it makes the ending of this movie less of a predictable conclusion, when Bane and Batman finally meet for the films concluding battle we wont know who will come out on top, and that makes the whole film a much more intriguing prospect.
