4. Too Wolverine-Centric
Dont get me wrong, I love Wolverine as much as anyone whos stuck chopsticks between his knuckles at a sushi restaurant. I wouldnt dream of telling an X-Men story without having him playing a major role in it, but the last five or six movies have been just too much. Its been the Wolverine show featuring stab, curse, and smoke. Its not like hes done right either. When they try delving into the character, its all about Jean this, what they did to me that, and my amnesia makes me a lovable murderer. If this was all Wolverine did in the comics, he wouldnt make it past six issues. We need a Wolverine who has matured past his teenage years, and is actively involved in helping others. He should still be a selfish jerk, but theyve been playing him as self-involved and always stuck in the past. Also, the more time you spend cutting away to Hugh Jackman having another angsty moment or claw popping nightmare, the less time you spend building a rich environment around him, which leads to
